Freiburger and Finnegan think this is the best episode so far! It’s the longest, too. This show has it all: a Mad-Max-vibe 1968 Dodge Charger built with motorhome parts, sideways Dukes-style action, lots of low-buck wrenching, hilarious snafus, and cameo appearances by the Macho Grande from episode 8, the ’66 Buick Special convertible from a pre-Roadkill episode, the ramp truck from episode 20, and the Fury from episode 22. Enjoy the last Roadkill of 2013!

Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend

Awesome! Exhaust note is sick. Doesn’t State of California usually jail and
incinerate people for using anything in a spray can or spilling automotive
fluids on the ground?

@ altimgamr be hatin’ Ford and GM

How many American cars are shipped to other countries? Chrysler – Ford –
General Motors.

How many foreign cars are shipped into the US? British – Jaguar, Range
Rover, Lotus, Rolls Royce, McLaren. German – BMW, VW Group, Mercedes-Benz,
Porsche, Vauxhall/Opel. Italian – Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati,
Lamborghini. Spain- SEAT. Japan – Lexus, Mazda, Nissan, Honda, Toyota,
Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Subaru. South Korea. Kia, Hyundai, Daewoo.

The correct comment would have been, America USED TO MAKE ‘SOME’ of the
best cars! Hence, why your best era was around the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
After that American cars are pants and old outdated tech. Ask an American
who has money to spend, and they will go European! The evolving Mercedes
Benz cars and super-green Asian cars are taking over your car manufacture
market. Not even Chrysler and GE are fully American anymore. Fiat Italy
have a lot of input now which is how and why both US manufacturers got
their cars up to a standard safe enough to pass European safety standards,
because before, your cars failed to reach the necessary standards!

ZeroStriker426 says:

an automatic transmission on the Charger? WWHHHHHYYYYYY :((((((

That aside, this is a very awesome build, and a very awesome base car. I
mean, how can you not like a ’68 Dodge Charger? And that sound…. just too
awesome.

WolfMan1131 says:

What song at 35:13

Darth Sega says:

Awesome, Just Awesome!

Russell Booth says:

People such as the local politicians (such as Bob Baldwin whose a
conservative right wing person) here in Australia don’t get why I’m not
interested in doing all of “that” stuff anymore, I was probably more
interested in that stuff 20 years ago but since picking up a few more
skills including the electrical trade at a local technical college (I did a
small automotive course as well) I started to become interested in what
modern cars had to offer, well , I like the Holden Commodores from the
1980’s such as this one:-
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=152952674894407&set=a.152952574894417.1073741825.100005390262695&type=3&theater
, it is a 1986 model Holden VL Commodore which has this motor in it :-
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=152952654894409&set=a.152952574894417.1073741825.100005390262695&type=3&theater
, a Nissan RB25/30DE hybrid engine,in other words a Nissan RB30DE because
Holden sourced the Nissan RB30E engine from Japan which was an Australia
only engine and was fitted to the Australian built Nissan R31 Skyline up
until 1991 and the VL Commodore up until 1988 due to tightening emission
control laws which required the use of unleaded fuel in 1986.
The 30 year old 202 cubic inch in line six locally produced by Holden
couldn’t be easily made to run on that fuel cheaply, efficiently or reliably
despite been made to run on EFI in 1984 in the VK Commodore, was run with
the old analogue Bosch L-jetronic computer,no O2 sensor and leaded fuel,so
the car (VL Commodore) in the photo is 29 years old now and looks better
since washing it but the car needs doing again after 10 years from when it
was done up.
My other car is this one:-
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=296542403868766&set=a.296540380535635.1073741839.100005390262695&type=3&theater
,a 2002 model VY Commodore which runs this motor :-
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=155538947969113&set=a.155538861302455.1073741828.100005390262695&type=3&theater
,the Chevy 5.7 litre LS1 motor , yes I keep telling people this car has got
that motor and not the Buick V6 which the VX Commodore runs and my dad owns
, well I bought the car in 2008 with custom headers & a twin 2.25 inch
custom exhaust system and has been tuned which has increased its power
output from about 235 kilowatts at the flywheel to 276 kilowatts, the car
now runs an off the shelf twin 2.5 inch straight through cat back exhaust
system as the custom one rusted out, there were no off the shelf units
available in 2002.
We recently had our state election last month and the guy handing out the
how to vote sheets said I’d already voted Labor (not conservative, left wing
person) when I pulled up in that car yet I’ve been unemployed for 3 years
and people such as Bob have been facetious towards me in my efforts to gain
& keep employment,in other words no matter how hard I try no employer seems
to put any effort in to me on their part and treat my applications
seriously,so far at least !!!

strawsparky33 says:

this is my dream car. i want it soooooooooo fucking bad man:/

Daniel Zanon says:

Did he say that the 440 only makes 200HP?

… :)

Andreas Kothe says:

So you basically are getting all the liquids like oil, coolant into your
driveway and soil. Yes pure ecology. Cool stuff but that´s too bad. Like
your concept though guys.

Ethan Kemp says:

most of this episode is stupid. but that charger they get at the end is a
beautiful thing.

George Rojas says:

“Why couldn’t we get a hoist with child-bearing hips?”

Malicious SRT says:

The Big Block from a motor home thing was a cheapo option in the 80’s and
90’s – but these days? They would have been light years ahead sticking a
5.7L Hemi into it from a wrecked Dodge truck or Chrysler 300. Would have
made way more power for far less hassle, but the episode would not have
been as good, so forget it I guess..lol

Mark Kristian Pedersen says:

Thought Breaking Bad !!!!

jordon ouradnik says:

Do you ever plan on selling it +Motor Trend Channel

Kristian Visgaard says:

I love this ep. ……. we neeed to see more

Joe Snow says:

I rigged up a push button starter on my 74 Satellite when the starter
switch stopped working. I put a button under the dash and ran some heavy
gauge wire through the firewall to the starter relay switch. I still had to
turn the ignition on with the key to start it before pushing the button,
though. I wanted to do a floor switch, but Pep Boys didn’t have one on the
day I went there for the switch.
