Could the new A2 license ride from KTM become the modern day LC that we’ve all been waiting for? It’s pretty darn close.

Could the new KTM RC390 A2 license ride become the modern day LC?

Julie Monroe says:

With a pretty sweet sound like that, you’d almost think it was a real
motorcycle.

lifehacker123 says:

This is exactly the bike I’m going to get! I love it so much that I just
have to have it. But if the brakes are really so bad like everybody says,
I’ll maybe upgrade them if that’s possible..

Sudhanshu Agnihotri says:

Nice review, i myself bought rc390 about 2 weeks back and i am loving it.
Only little quirk i feel is when i am braking hard it feels like the rear
brake pad under my foot shakes a little bit is that just the ABS kicking in
or do i need to get it looked at.

J Bensley says:

Single cylinder!? They need to bring back a bike similar to the VFR and RVF
400s little V4s that love to scream or the straight fours. I have a RVF
couldn’t think of a bike I’d rather have more.

Paul Valakelis says:

But what’s the difference between the Duke 390 and the RC390? Differently
tuned engines but isn’t it more or less the same bike?

muzman777 says:

Shame about that headlight unit though.

ryanhayn says:

That’s by far the best looking <600cc sport bike. I'd buy it if I were a
noob.

Balefire says:

KTM RC690 please!

S .Kenny says:

BRING IT TO THE USA!

kanwarjit sidhu says:

for some reason there is a lack of bikes in this 350-400cc range. there are
bikes upto 250cc then they are 500cc and up. KTM will sell few of these as
there is very little competition in this class

bigbinston says:

Fuck me a video where neeves doesn’t mention a fucking bmw lol!

Uday Singh says:

Just 2000 pounds in india

Speedy95 says:

the RC390 is a winner

Tyler James says:

Any idea on a US dollar price as of yet?

Buzz Shiteyear says:

Never mind youngsters: If I didn’t have an RS250 in the garage I’d buy one
of these… And I passed my test in 1969!
Another clear and concise appraisal… Well done Neevesy but I have told
you before about that bloody awful music.
If they were RC390’s going past you when you were in the pits then yes, I
like the sound of Moto3.

cagednm69 says:

Then the wheels explode like the Duke 390s :D

Bruno Arslanturk says:

Wish they had bikes like this when I was 19. Very nice ride.

matthew wilson says:

not a lot of bike for the money

alukardFE says:

Awesome awesome bike

Ren Beglarian says:

Really like the looks of this bike. I have a full licencee but would be
happy to ride this. I hope they overhaul the 1190 RC8 with the same styling
as this.

mJZ says:

I’d like to test ride one.

Steamin Steven says:

please bring it to Canada, my daughter would luv this as her first street
bike!!

Chris Lamb says:

Is this coming to Canada/USA?

Paul T Rigby says:

The only thing that would get to me if I was young again is how similar it
looks to the rc125. When I passed my test I wanted to jump on not only
something more powerful but physically different and bigger than a 125.
Bet it’s fun to ride though :)

Justin Marshall says:

I love how they (KTM) have clearly left room for an extra Caliper on the
front…

MeplusYellow says:

His face when the other bikes on the track went past lol.

MotoErgoSum says:

At 19 I was riding a 1200…

Oh… Sorry, UK.

JoeGo101 says:

Sweet bike 😀 I love the looks of it

36Rza says:

£5000 for that?

As said in the comments the older 400cc bikes were far superior, VF4, ZX4R,
RVF and those are some seriously good 400cc bikes that produced good power.

I feel that younger riders are getting financially raped with all these
small “sports bikes” RC390, R125, RS125, Ninja 300 etc. You’re paying on
average £800 for the A2 licence and these small sports bikes are in high
insurance groups, even more so then my 675.

Single cylinder engines are the very basic, these bikes are on par with a
CG125 and that’s not sporty. (In terms of sophistication)

You could get brand new a NC700 (47BHP) MT-07, SV650S and for a little bit
more money a Ninja650 for simlar money.

For under £2k you could be getting a great example of a SV650S or Ninja650,
fitting a 47bhp restriction kit and save yourself £3k and and SV and Ninja
are group 10/11 where as the RC390 is group 15 which is the same as a
Ducati Monster 1100 Evo or a Z1000 for example.

The real winners in this situation are insurance companies and the
manufactures.

The Grey Warden says:

Good on ya Michael, Thanks

n8doggg90 says:

It’s so unbelievably ugly, not a big ktm fan although I do love their
motocross bikes!
