anotherone10 says:

The 100 GoPro’s didn’t really seem add anything to the video, best thing
about this video was probably the blow off sounds lol

Motor Trend Magazine says:

Ever want to ride shotgun with Randy Pobst around Willow Springs? We’ve got
the next best thing: a +Volkswagen USA Golf GTI equipped with 100 +GoPro
Cameras. Hop aboard for a lap around the track in the first episode of The
Golf GTI Project!

Darrin Hillier says:

bad editing, obvious use of other cameras, and fake blow off valve and
turbo sounds. This is seriously lame.

Harvey Duncan says:

FFFFFUUUUUU

Guys, no music. I joke about it all the time, but in this case… the bass
and stuff is making me think “is that the sound track or the car?” In
particular around the 1:23 mark. That is very frustrating for– I dunno–
enthusiasts who like to listen to the cars over anything else. I hope
there’s a version just with sounds, that’s all I can say. Thats’ one of
the reasons I love Winding Road so much.

LegacyOfFear says:

+Tess Tickles You’ve obviously never driven a Golf – they’re a hell of a
lot more fun than you’d think.

Keine Namen says:

i thought i would see the shots of a 100 gopros and not one shot with 100
gopros in it…..

FUreplygirl says:

WTF is this shit. stupid idea. lame conzept.. Would be more entertaining
if you put 100 go pros on a tricycle and raced it.. They’re just golfs..
whats the big deal.

David645207 says:

Nobody ever stops to realise how much time and effort people put into their
video’s. well done Motor Trend!

Mike12r1 says:

Why would put so many cameras at one point of view, I don’t understand
that. All front cameras will take the same footage

WhiteHammer says:

They are only Golf’s. What’s the big deal. I watch this show to see cars I
can’t afford. Plus whats the Go with GoPros?

David Martin Rubio says:

WHATS THE FUCKIN POINT

Matt Hollie says:

That’s like $30k worth of GoPro cameras!!!

Vincent Collogan says:

Hot hatch with an automatic transmission LOL.

Sam Mankotia says:

I just got a semi watching this.. :-D

Jeremy Aaron says:

This fails to impress me. Whats the point of having 100+ GoPros when you
only use 15 different angles? I just didnt get the “wow” feeling I was
expecting from the teaser video. Hopefully you will step up your game!

Jessi Lang says:

Brothgar says:

While I do think the video could have been a bit better I still enjoyed it.
What is more interesting is the amount of hate generated by a video you get
to watch for free. Honestly Thank you +Motor Trend Channel for what you do
here on youtube. We should all learn to be a bit more grateful.

takanara7 says:

It would be cool if you had done interesting ‘matrix style’ shots or
something. All we see here is a car with a bunch of cameras stuck to it,
mostly shot with other cameras that aren’t even on the car. What’s the
point?

Pardon_M3 says:

>attach 100 Go Pro cameras
>100+ hours of footage
>barely any footage in video

David MuscleGuy says:

i’m really sorry but MT you suck these days!! give us our old daily videos!
don’t worry they were great:(

Joseth Gamboa says:

It’s a problem when the content of the videos responds only to sponsors
interest and Motor Trend forget what people really want… I think i talk
for all the suscribers when i say that we dont want 3 minutes more of
commercials

Jake Burch says:

you have like 100 cameras on the car but only show from a couple of them
that makes alot of sense

cerrystyle says:

What an awesome exhaust notes definitely love the sound. The new Golf has
strong balls as the turbocharger I LIKE it!

Aderbal Nunes says:

GoPro filming another GoPro

Tredts Sindrome says:

These bastards have the best jobs.

Life of an RC Addict says:

As a video editor 100 cameras would be s nightmare to string together into
a short video. I can easily assume that not all 100 were on the white golf
as that would be pointless.

Fun to watch and a nifty concept.

pXnairsoft says:

Fake blow off and turbo sounds ,gaaaaayyyyyy

davidrivas305 says:

I’m not an expert or anything, but I think that you don’t need 100 cameras
to produce this video. Maybe 96-98 would be enough. Just my two cents.

Arya Ahmadi says:

What the hell was that??
-If they think their filming was innovative or creative, they failed
awfully.

droitega says:

So many gopros, this is stupidity of humanity. Not even impressive…

oep308 says:

I don’t get it? IT’s a golf with loads of go pros on with hardly any of
them been used?

Wittiiii says:

one of the best cars. i love it.

Turboslang says:

Well… 100 gopros and all i see is gopros.. this video is nothing that I
expected from the series.. it’s shit

dri fter says:

Damn… golfs are soo boring :/ and they are everywhere…

Jack Woodburn says:

I am SO sick of car wonks loving anything German….get over it!

Waldo Armagon says:

DevStar says:

This is just retarded, not to mention all the extra drag caused by the
cameras. And what invisible cameras were filming the black GTI?

Jef Gulickx says:

the 100 cameras don’t make a difference. and the sound when they shift is
horrible! it sound like somethings seriously wrong with the engine or
gearbox. and they probably made that sound on purpose _
there is so much wrong in 1 video..

vidsbfree4me says:

Carlos should have driven my Mustang with twin Borlas and he would have
felt right at home! The problem is after a while that constant drone makes
you wanna put ear plugs in permanently. If I’m not mistaken, (G)od (M)otors
has solved the problem on the Vette with vacuum activated baffles that only
open up at full tilt boogey. But I digress,

while Chicks certainly will always dig the Porsche, $151K is a little
absurd considering a 5 to 7 year old one will cost between $30k & $40k…

DildorTheDecent says:

Not a huge fan of the DSG/semiauto in the new golf’s. Doesn’t feel right
IMO.

Chad Kirchner says:

Notice that the fine folks at +Motor Trend Magazine had to pull the ABS
fuse in order to get stability control to turn off. Thanks +Volkswagen USA for
sending a performance car here that stability control can’t be turned off
on, even on a racetrack.

mattdeanmusic says:

What was the point of 100 gopro cameras? Could’ve cut this exact video with
like 5… Majority of the footage seemed from another camera car. Any why
are we seeing film of the car with the camera’s? Sorry guys, but this
gimmick was super lame.

Earl Miguel Mendoza says:

Golf GTI Battle at the Track!

pwnz01 says:

Honestly i was expecting a LOT more form this GoPro setup, a bit of footage
combination and stop motion at least – you can notice that many of the
cameras on the golf are swapped out/removed. The whole thing could have
been done with one GoPro and a few extra laps.

Александр Алисейко says:

so, what?

Brett says:

Got my 2015 GTI SE yesterday…compared to my 2010 MK VI, it rides better,
feels more refined, has tons more interior kit, and looks a lot better in
the flesh. I love the ride/handling balance, and love how composed it is
when you throw it into the curves…we’ll done VW! Upgrade your GTI,
everyone, now!

Hunter Wolff says:

I miss the old motor trend. I wish Ignition was still once a week and that
Head to Head was every other week. Epic drives with Angus Mackenzie through
Europe, instead of Arthur St. Antoine. I miss the daily content and I used
to look forward to seeing a new video everyday.

Intelligent Comment says:

Oh man… that was horrible. It’s literally just two GTI’s being filmed
going around the track and one is covered in GoPro’s. There is absolutely
NOTHING interesting or unique about this video. I’m sorry, but how did
this make the cut?

Henry says:

what was the point of this? this has been one of two videos this channel
has put out that I haven’t been a fan of. The other one being that Miata
vs. Thunderbird video, I don’t know what it was exactly but that guy
defending the Thunderbird kinda creeped me out, plus it just seemed super
fake. Sorry to hate but just my $.02
