SEMA Drag Race: Hellcat vs Blasphemi vs Jeep FC vs Sonic! – 2014 SEMA Week Ep. 5
We've reached the final day of 2014 SEMA Week brought to you by 76, and only we would dare to bring this ridiculous mix of vehicles together for a grudge race on an unprepped airport runway. Fred Williams, Jessi Lang, Mike Sabounchi and Mike Finnegan begged and bribed SEMA Show exhibitors to loan them vehicles for a ¼ mile drag race and, though Finnegan and Sabounchi failed, the group still managed to acquire a Jeep riding on tank treads, a fresh-off-the-floor 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the infamous Hemi-powered ’55 Chevy Bel Air from Roadkill, and a turbocharged 2013 Chevy Sonic to do battle.
The racers are as different as the cars. Finnegan lives in the world of hot rods, Lang regularly pilots the best the OEM carmakers have to offer, Williams spends all of his time in the dirt, and Sabounchi hops up every compact car on the planet. Who will come out on top? Watch and find out!

The Jetson’s sound as the Sonic crossed the line, too funny.
HEL YEAH FINNEGAN!!! that blastphemi is a monster. definitely the car i
would have picked (but it would have been the Hellcat if it had a 6 speed,
come on Jessi step up your game and use you left foot for something other
than brake launches)
The Hellcat got smoked by a Gasser… Umm, idk how I feel or how to
respond…

+Jessi Lang You’re one of the coolest people on Motor Trend and a person I
look up to. For you to get back in the hot seat and drive fast after a
setback like yours is admirable. The Heel-Toe will come back in time, but
take comfort in the fact that all these new automatics are (sadly) faster
than manuals nowadays…..Now that I’m done blowing sunshine up your
keister, GET BACK TO WORK, and keep making entertaining videos!
All for nothing.. there was no way the hellcat was going to beat the
Chevy… As powerful as it is.. it’s still basically a street car Vs a Drag
Car.
That chick probably weights around 30 kg. To be fair, there should be a
50kg balast in the trunk of hellcat.

AWESOME seeing +Jessi Lang back behind the wheel again. Made my day!
She spun the tires off the line a bit. Her launch off the line could have
been better. Still, even with a driver mod the hellcat would have lost
anyway but the race would have been closer.

Jeep was pretty cool as well!
Jessi knows how to drive, HOWEVER Finnegan is on another level. Plus he

@TheLukey21 the auto hellcat is an 8 speed that can shift in 0.2 seconds(if
I recall correctly) which is faster than humanly possible
Would have liked to have seen Fred’s Army truck instead of that beast in
the race.
The shot at 7:06 of the Blasphemi taking off, as seen through the window of
the Jeep is so incredibly awesome and badass! Well done, Great video.
