BTW…WTF does every british wanker call AH-Lume-i-numb,
al-lee-min-ee-numb. You sound like idiots making tin foil sound like some
fancy ass shit, it’s tin foil compressed into shapes to save weight, not
hardened steel, not magnesium or carbon fiber, cooking tin foil…

Had my MT-09 for months now, HUBBA machine … Fuck Triumph……..

AshtonPhoto says:

Video shot on cellphone. O_o

RichardPeterNuss says:

Of course what he doesn’t say is the suspension is crap, the fueling is
TOTAL CRAP no matter what mode, and as motorcyclist has shown even as cheap
as they can do it (which is about half of what a normal human would spend)
it’s still 2500-3000 to make it remotely rideable at anything other then a
newb pace. The British bike is THAT much better despite conceding price and
about 10hp. This bike will absolute kill it’s intended audience, newbs, the
first time they try to think they can stick with a real sportbike. The 7 is
a winner, the 9 a piece o cheap crap….wanna learn to ride properly, by
the 7 or less, wanna kill urself properly buy a 2 year old supersport for
the same price, but stop fawning over shit….

+SuperBigdick45 actually you failed the internet once you called the TL1000
a parallel twin and proved you infact have a small pecker and are just as
bone headed as the tl guy. But I have an sv1000s so of course ill tend to
side with the tl guy (if you know anything about bikes you will know why)
oh and the sv1000s is the best bike ever made ever!!!!

The amount or torque you can run smooth in corners just need to select

Wow that Shark Raw looks so good on that bike.

Stop comparing everything to Triumph….being made in England doesn’t make
it a benchmark for motorcycles…

Andrew Limon says:

Jay Slinger says:

MT-01 didn’t miss the mark. You just need to have big balls to ride it
properly.

Zomb Mobbers says:

What Dirtbike do you guys recommend for a 6FT? Any price will do.

Shadawoop says:

Name of song in the intro?

Ricardo Ferreira says:

Tells us more about the MT-09X

CHeWy says:

MCN, you always bag naked bikes and commuter bikes. You get off high
powered sports bikes and then naked bikes or street bikes and compare them
and say, the brakes are average, the front end is hesitant, the motor is
average………THEY ARE NOT BMW S1000R`s!!!!! You need to actually compare
what the bike is and look at it for what it is.

MissMan666 says:

MCN SUCKS

36Rza says:

The reviewer sounds bored.

I like the MT-09, its well equipped and is well priced but for me it’s a
little bit boring in the looks department, there’s nothing that stands out
about it. For £7k I would go for the 690 Duke, Wp suspension, Brembro mono
block caliper, slipper clutch and a dry weight of 150kg, pure fun.

a92228 says:

almost bought it today.

Edwin de Graaf says:

go for it

Byron Black says:

Pleasant and informative review. I would suggest that the “snatchy
throttle” is simply another example of progress gone awry, namely, the fuel
injection which passes emission tests, gives superior mileage and looks
neat to buyers – but which inevitably has that “light-switch” on-and-off
feel to it, particularly at low rpms and small throttle openings.

Unforgivable on slick, uneven surfaces, where smooth power delivery is a
must. So you end up riding the clutch at low speeds, which is annoying.

As for the three-cylinder configuration, one of the finest sports-tourers I
ever owned was the XS750, a poised, tight shaft-drive triple that Yamaha
sold for almost a dozen years in the competitive North American market. It
felt light and pointy, and was comfortable for long rides.

For some reason riders (particularly in Japan) have something against
three-cylinder bikes. On the contrary, I adore them. This one looks great,
and affordable as well (unlike the Brutale 658 I tested – nice, but ouch:
STICKER SHOCK).

Jaime Hablutzel Egoavil says:

no engine sound?

Pieter Strydom says:

Reviewer sounds bored? Bike is boring in looks department?

I like a reviewer who pretends objectivity – by not telling how great the
Street triple is the whole vid, and lets face it, sports bikes are boring
to in the looks department: They look very similar! Not ugly, but by
comparison, this bike is different, not boring.

End Times Rider says:

Turn the speech up and the crappy music down!!!!!! I’ve never watched a
great MCN review.

Not to toot my own horn but… I’m going to toot my own horn 😀
Yamaha MT-09 / FZ 09 Review & Testdrive

Daniel Atrib says:

TOP!!

ernie catt says:

Had mine 3 weeks now. The pegs are a tad lower than my former FZ-8, the
bars perfect(for me) and the engine an absolute blast. The review is
correct about the less-than-smooth low rev. throttle in Standard and “A”
modes. But, you adapt and the fun continues. What they failed to mention is
the seat. It’s not terribly comfortable. An accessory seat is in the
catalog with early 2014 availability, however. We’ll see how that one
fares.
In comparison: I’ve owned two 2001 SV650s, one Honda 919 and Yamaha’s FZ-8.
The FZ-09 has more personality than any of them and, taking price increases
into account, less expensive than any of them with more power to boot.

Michael Melling says:

Nice review.

TheMacki95 says:

it gona be a mt 07 or the ducati 769 monster for me

AndrewChan84 says:

Don’t buy it until they improve the front end, and jack up the price
another 500 dollars, but it’ll be worth it.
