It’s the S1000RR’s biggest revamp since it was introduced five years ago. BMW say their new weapon is lighter, more powerful, and more refined than ever, so we put it head-to-head with the outgoing model.

I like the all new 2015 s1000RR! It’s the little things that get me…like
the new key with aluminum on it. The new instrument gauges are nice too.

Ayush Sharma says:

Were these tests done on the day of filming (i.e. on wet surface)? The
sluggish 0-60 and quarter mile times suggest that they were achieved in
less than ideal conditions.

GettingLowWithLebo says:

I would put money down that despite the bigger hp claims of other
manufacturers the bmw is still actually more powerful on the dyno.

DeclanCBC says:

Wish they weren’t restricted

muhammad aizat says:

Please,make video 2015 S 1000RR vs S 1000 RR HP4… Just curious,with one
more hp….

MrPninja says:

Ha my 2013 zx10 r is still quicker at 2.85

SupaNautica says:

I would be happy with either, beautiful machines.

jimmy smyth says:

The BMW is nice I want one, but I don’t think it will out perform the
panigale 1299

meow larry says:

I love the look of old one more, cant help it, its the original

Daniel Joseph says:

So the moral of the story is buy the 2014 model as the 2015 isn’t much
faster. Or wait for the Kawasaki H2R as it’ll blow everything away!
#supercharged

CHeWy says:

So pretty much no change………

needforfeet says:

Hi MCN crew, I am from italy, I own a 2013 HP4 Competition, Guess there is
something wrong with the 0 – 180 chrono. In the 0 – 150 the 2014 marks
10,59 vs 10,66, almost the same chrono. In the 0/180 the 2014 marks
19,47 vs 17,49. Guess it s not possible the 2015 is 2 seconds faster,
with less then 4 Hp difference in the maximum power. Am I wrong? And are
the two top speeds right the same ones ?

shaolin224 says:

Man does it ever stop raining in the UK..

aza stephens says:

So after all this claimed bhp figures of the new r1 rsv4 and the ducati i
would also bet that when it comes down to rwhp on the dyno the beemer will
still be leading the way. Ducati claim 205 hmmmm lets get it on the dyno
and see how much it actually makes

Flibbertigibbet says:

Old one was actually catching in the midrange then the new one pulled away
top end.

Warwick Hunter says:

Would you please quote metric measures as well please? These old fashioned
units don’t make sense for a lot of people.

Dan NZ says:

Are the dials imperial measure? I won’t be buying one

2012 zx14r says:

You had both bikes, a drag strip, a dyno, and only managed to make a 1:46
second video? For one of the biggest motorcycle YouTube channels…..I
expected more. Could have done more than 1 pull and at least could have
been side by side……

PyCoder666 says:

But the new s1000rr looks so ugly!

Rick Riccar says:

I will wait for the new 2015 model to come to my dealer.

Khalil.B. Saket says:

That was not a fair start

Vince Pullin says:

Prefer the look of the 2014

lilDix says:

Looks like the test was done on a wet track!!!

DSOXBLADE says:

I wanna see the top speed without the limiter.

Chris Carter says:

Still no threat to the 10r.

Rjeeez 95 says:

the 0-186mph despite the conditions is very good. lol

Jean-Michel Beriault says:

Numbers don’t lie, good job!

Chris Rudecki says:

This bike is my wet dream … come on ’15 maybe this year I’ll ride the
s1krr ! :)

Sadistic Pink says:

Is it my imagination or is it always wet when you do these testings? Or
is it just plain old always wet where you guys live?

ian boyd says:

was gonna buy the 2015 model, but realised there just is nowhere to use all
the power on the majority of Britains roads,so i bought a Bugatti veyron.

ZIZIROMA says:

different!!
